Default interchangeable parts, possibly a dumb question

Are the parts for the 90-94 ls400 mostly interchangeable as far as body parts go? bumper/lights/interior/etc?

lol im here im here, refering to this http://www.lexls.com/info/lsgenerations.html

everything looks to be a straight swap, but the shifter and cluster is what i think are the items that are not swappable. visually the shifter looks to be off but might just be button placement but i know for sure that the 90-92 and 93-94 clusters are different.

but what u looking for specifically?

Cool thanks!

LiCelsior, I'm specifically looking at the lights because there is a guy parting out a 92 and I need the bumper light/corner light and a few misc interior pieces for my 93.

Bumping an old thread.

For 90-92 and 93-94

As per posts above;

Speedo clusters not interchangable

Climate control not interchangable

Springs/shocks/strut mounts are interchangable

Body panels are interchangable

So far I've found;

90-92 seats differ from 93-94. 93-94 Also has motorized headrests. IIRC 90-92 are manual. <Edit= per j2b4o some headrests 90-92 are motorized as well.)

90-92 ECU differs from 93-94 and will not work. Also take into account CA emissions vs 49 State emissions. Traction control as well.

Key control module will not work. The harness is different, the wiring is almost identical but there is 1 wire on the 90-92 that the 93-94 doesn't have, I believe it's the door beep wire. Physically different sizing and mounting points may be as well. Transponder chip will not interchage either.

Brakes are different.

93-94 has a tiny rear anti sway bar. A sway bar from a 90-92 might be a cheap upgrade as it is beefier.

Front seat belts are interchangble

Floor mats are not interchangable

Rubber brake lines and rear to rear hardline interchangable

Power steering pump interchangable

Radiator interchangable. Sensor at bottom of radiator not interchangable. Different plugs.

Radiator shroud not interchangable. 93-94 has a groove to clear ABS.

93-94 intake on CA emissions has a silencer and hose pipe on the rear half of the intake housing that goes to the front of the motor. 19mm or 3/4 hose to replace the stock silencer tube and hose when it breaks. Seen a lot of LS with duct tape on this, you can run without a silencer tube.

Fuel sending unit (float) not interchangable. Different style and harness clip.

Sun visor assembly interchangable. Earlier models had leather available.

Headlights not interchangable, different sockets and bulb type.

Front signal lights (bumper mounted) are interchangable.

Tail lights are interchangable.

Will add more if I remember/come across any info.
Feel free to add your own.

Default Also wondering about interchangeable seats

Hey guys,

This thread has some fantastic info, I'm wondering if anyone knows if the seats in the 95 LS are the same as the seats in a 95 GS?

I have a GS and have come across a new drivers seat from an LS that I can pick up cheap... just not sure if it will work, both are power, but I've not measured up the LS seat, or checked the wiring.

Thanks if anyone knows the answer,....
