k i got a 96 ls400 and whenever i start it it would run and the engine sounds nice no problems but my catalytic converters like 2 inches in the front turn red like fire red and idk wat to do i did take them off to see but it still does it any one know what could be the problem

Id wait for Puredrifter or 1SICKLEX to respond, but Ill give it a try. I would say that they are fouled or plugged somewhere's.

I just Googled it. Running too rich for some reason causes overheating in the cat.

idk whats wrong with it the engine runs smooth just that it gets hot by them converters i will wait for 1sicklex and puredrifter to respond they mite know

I had a friend with the exact problem on his Geo Prizm. It was running too rich. A new set of spark plugs fixed the problem.

The Cats are clogged and cant filter the exhaust properly. Just need to replace them.

hopefully thats the problem i will get the spark plugs replaced tom
is the iridium spark plugs good anyone try them

well i changed the spark plugs and the igniters and its fixed it runs beautyful

YES I JUST PUT THEM IN A 91 LS400 AND THEY WORK JUST FINE
