Default door "hinge" broke on driver side door 1991 LS400....

I'm not sure what you call it, but the little strap/metal piece that slows down the door when you open it, broke the other day. I also lost the little metal piece that fits in there.

Is this an expensive item to get fixed?

I can't find it on the internet but I guess it would be easy if I knew what it was called.

Any help guys?

I hope it's not a $200 fix from Lexus. It's really an annoying thing for a delivery driver. I get in and out of my car 40 times per day carrying items and it's a pain in the *** having to hold the door so it doesn't hit the car next to me.

Junkyard time. Don't know what it's called either. You're in California, is there any Pick Ur Parts around your area?

Just out of curiosity, what do you deliver?

yeah, i would totally try a junkyard first.....especially for a part like this....you'll pay a fraction of what you would pay at a dealership.

Yeah, I meet some interesting people.

I've had a lady open up her robe to show me her rack (keeping it car talk) and another just lift up her shirt at the door. Been offered beers/shots multiple times, but I always turned it down.

What part number (according to the exploded view diagram) is the "trim ring" for lack of exact name-- that lights up on the drivers key hole and makes a halo type entry illumination for ease of key entry at night time? Mine is darkened from age (i guess) and needs to be replaced because the light comes on but cannot see it illuminate for some reason or another. I have taken the drivers door panel off to ascertain the bulb is in fact functioning. 1991 LS400 139K miles. Thanks in advance.
