took the car apart today and pulled some of the damage back into place.. took a few pics:

this was SICK... radiator is like halfway clogged..


rad, ac condenser, clutch fan & shroud, one ac fan all broke'd


only had to use these tools to disassemble the front of the car, i love it. 90% of the bolts on these cars are 10mm or 12mm, its great

after everything was basically taken off.


damn i wish the core support was bolted in instead of welded this would be a lot quicker repair!

no insurance.. cant claim them... if i make anymore claims they are going to drop me and whoever else i try to get insurance under will be expensive as hell.

i talked to my salvage yard friend... he was first like "man thats like $1200-1500" in parts and i was

but then he texted me later and told me he was joking, thinking more along the lines of charging me like $200-250 instead...

so i'm getting a parts list together tomorrow and calling his place on monday.. they're gonna pull the parts for me and i'll see about getting this core straight...

paint is going to be the killer... the door... they quoted $250 for just the door.. if i get the door, hood and bumper sprayed its probably gonna be like $600+

the only **** that i found that pissed me off and surprised me was under the battery tray. the bolts were rusted and there was a surprising amount of rust....

oh well. its not a real issue.

my buick has been stolen once, broken into twice and hit and run twice. the lexus got hit by an uninsured once, i hydroplaned on the highway going 50mph right before i got my new wheels and tires, and then some idiot pulls behind me while i'm backing out and i break a taillight on his f150 bumper, his wife claims whiplash

they sent a letter that said i have to go like 6 months with no claims or i'm off. my grandparents have graciously let me stay on their policy and i dont want to get myself and them dropped, then try to find my own insurance thats going to cost $$$$

Luckily you have a buddy at the junkyard so he can get you cheap parts. It's the paint job that will be killer. Good luck fixing it. Shouldn't have too much trouble since you seem pretty handy taking everything apart.
