Sounds good with 141xxx its still a baby.

Met an old couple at the store the other day that had a clone of my 1998.They told us they bought it used (really clean) from neighbour but the miles are high,at 91k.Mrs says "but we do the maintenance when its due" .When I told em about my 247k and how many miles we see here, they about fell over!Mr says "we only drive about 2000 miles a year, and never drive this in winter, this car will outlast us!!" Boy were they smiling.

Hey Amish, really good deal at $3k. Once the word gets out about how great and sporty these cars really are, beyond us club types, prices will reflect. Until then, let us enjoy and rejoice!

Long time lurker, first time poster and Lexus owner. Just picked up my 95 LS400 a few days ago with 110k on the dash. With winter coming fairly soon won't be doing too much to it just yet. Never been a huge fan on slamming these

Yes, sporty!!! First, the VVTI engine is arguably the best Toyota ever mass produced. Sure the car is 6.2 seconds to 60, so we're not talking about winning drag races, but it will hold it's own even after 20 years on the road. In mid-range revs, it simply kicks butt, and it will peg the speedometer, governed to 155mph. Next, with simple modifications, it becomes an adequate handling machine. I changed my shocks to Koni adjustables, and upgraded the tires to more aggressive and stickier Bridgestones from Michelins, and the car curves fairly flat and easily controllable, while still comfortable on smooth roads. The dual exhaust begs for Borla or Magnaflow to step in, which will be my next move, but for now, I'm enjoying my "sporty", comfortable, reliable, amazing machine with 245K miles that drives and handles pretty much like new, no squeaks, rattles, or major faults. So yes, I fully defend my "sporty" comment, and thanks for giving me the opportunity to reply.

Wow! That's one of the best looking 2nd gen LS 400s I've seen in the area - she's stunning. Welcome to the club.

i had originally put h & r springs on mine but the gap was off..so the distance between all the wheels were not the same..higher on one side than the other..etc, so i switched to coilovers. i can notice it on ur car as gen 1 cars were known for this. but it looks good

Looks great! I'm trying to decide on Tanabes or BC coils on my 90?? Thinking the Tanabes will offer a better ride? Have you measured how much drop you got after installing them?

Python,
I'm trying to decide on springs vs coils what coils did you go with and was there a noticeable difference between the two as far as ride quality? I'm thinking of going with the BC coils with stock 12/8 k spring rates or Tanabes... I have a 90 LS400
Thanks Pete

i have bc's..didnt have the springs on long as i hated the look of uneven suspension..coils are much more..almost a grand, get them off amazon.

Thanks Python,
Was the ride quality just a little firmer going from springs to the BC coils? And I'll be sure to check out Amazon for a better price.

Pete
