As mentioned above, the lighting forum is filled with answers to your question, since its seem very general in nature.

Lighting section LS posts quite dated. 2002 & 04. I want to know what luck/preferences people had with HID retrofit kit installs in 95-00. I ride a 97.
So if anybody has DIY'd let me know

The CF20 I drive(97) has OEM lighting, not shabby. I live in the NW and we really need a quality light. Also have CF10 with HID's. Way better than OEM. If someone wants to pass on info on UCF 20 (2nd gen LS400), give a shoutout

Are you in Brooklyn? I saw a white LS on Bushwick Avenue about a week or two ago, with HID lows and fogs.

The headlite cutoff pattern on a 97 CF2 aren't actually that bad. Unless I replace the entire headlite including its surface pattern its just going to be an expensive mistake. It still wouldn't give projector quality definition. This is just my work car. Makes more sense to put the cash into new tires and just buy a quality Xenon non HID replacement. I get new tires & lites. Much safer. I can live with that.

The stock headlights beam pattern is bad and even worst with HID's you will need to change the whole headlight. This is what I can up with I still have so fine detailing to do on them, but the work great.

Love the look but never have fully understood this??
Does this mod involve sheet metal specialist & repainting?

Need better lights!!

Lexkost is the Dr. Frankenstein of headlights. If I remember correctly, that is a custom set of headlights that he adapted from a VW Jetta (cant remember which year) and if I remember corrctly he did have to do a little work to fill in some gaps, but for the most part, they slipped right in. End result is what you see there. Looks really good.
