Puredrifter for info, realize that. Don't sweat it.
But this for Balling; about living in Japan.
Did you buy a USDM CF10 in Tokyo or is it Celsior a rhd JDM ? JDM setups generally don't work ON USDM. No corresponding part #'s JDM to USDM regardless of being a 10 or a 20.
To wait for a suspension to clear Customs with delivery times 2/3 months and shipping costs possibly as high as a coilover. No fun.
If this was Stateside be a whole different deal. Thats my line of askin' the Tokyo point Balling.

if ur talking about suspension, there is no difference between the US or the JDM versions of all the components (and most of the airsusp electrics).

I had the Megans on my Supra. The build quality was great but they were super stiff. Not exactly what I'd want on my LS.

LIke i said, this is a favor, since there really isnt real suspension options.

Not sure how legit these guys or their price/availability is, but-

http://www.eliteautostyle.com/produc...pension_ls.htm

Look further down the page past the air control items.

I bought my Toyota "T" grille insert from eliteautostyle.com as part of my Celsior conversion. I eventually had to call in the order because Justin wouldn't respond to my e-mails.

After receiving the part, I decided to see if he could obtain the four Celsior center caps for my wheels. Again, no response. When I e-mailed him again, this time mentioning I just wanted the part numbers so I could get them somewhere else, he quickly responded and said he'd order them for me.

I e-mailed him back about prices, and I've never heard back from him. That was over three months ago.

I'd recommend j-garage.com as well. They were super quick to respond to all my questions, they'll order practically anything, and though I decided against buying from them because they were a bit higher than Elite, the shopping experience warrants my recommendation.

Back on topic, I've been looking at getting some Megans for my '97. I found them on eBay for $900 shipped here.

With any degree of luck, I will have the money by early spring.

btw..i got a quote from M1 about megan coils and they gave me 800...

farquad 09-23-08 08:42 AM

is it 800 shipped Li
what about K-sport coilovers for the LS.. are they any good?

LiCelsior 09-23-08 08:55 AM

800 for the coils not including shipping. i know of a ES that has been through many problems with his ksports. id avoid them, search in the LS forum i had him chime in on one of the threads.

s_ribs 09-23-08 08:56 AM

The K-Sport set up hasn't gotten as good a reviews in other threads. Problems with them blowing WAY prematurely.

hobojoe 09-23-08 05:27 PM

so hows the megans compare to stock in-terms of reliability? since thats what our cars are so well known for

PK_Celsior 09-23-08 07:14 PM

it should be pretty reliable. depending on what settings you have on the coilover. will tell you how stiff and soft you want it. other than that theres not much to say haha. a lot of wrx/sti peepz use these coilovers no problem.

hobojoe 09-23-08 07:52 PM

yea, im mean im not expecting them to last as long as the oem original ones have but id like them to last a while
