Sound Deadening. Any info?

I was wondering what can I do to make my 98LS a bit quieter inside. Not that its very loud, but I just like to imrove things.
Would using a product like Dynamat work? And if it did, where would I place this product?

i went to my local paint/bodyshop supply store when i was in the states

they had this awesome sound deadening for like 8sq ft for 20 bucks.

I bought a good amount of it to put int eh trunk, adn behind the seat. It made myu compressor less annoying.
Put it everywhere you can!

Well if I do it, I want to do a good job, remove the door panels and cover most of the wholes.
I just wanted to know, is the change dramatic? or is it not worth doing.
I think I am going to keep the car for another half a year, or a year.

it makes a huge difference, but it's quite a bit of work. for the most effect, you should also put it on the floor and firewall. pretty much every surface you cna put it on.

Well I want to try and do the trunk today. I have a box with two 10s in there so I want to see the benefits.
What is the proper way to do the trunk? I am assuming the trunk itself, and on the sides? behind the facotry wool covers?

I actually don't think Dynamat will help you much with reducing road noise. It's primary purpose is to stop resonance in metal panels. It doesn't really block higher frequency noises, and it will really take a ton of work to get your doors sealed up properly. And even if you do get them sealed up, there are tons of other areas of the car you can't seal, like your windows, and the noise seems to just funnel through there.

The trunk will make the biggest difference cutting down on rattles, etc, but unless you do most or all of the car you're not going to reduce noise levels overall much. I've got two rolls of RAAMmat in my car for about 95% coverage, it certainly made the car much quieter.

Since you're not planning on keeping your car much longer I say don't bother with this.

I think I will do the trunk just to see if the Bass output from the box increases.
