Default Fuel pump fuse?

im currently in a process to change my fuel filter, after doing much reading and researching and help from Sonyman. I've decided to pull out the fuel pump fuse to stop the gas from flowing that much but problem is that, i dont know which fuse controls the fuel pump even looking at the owners manual. hope someone can help me with this problem. also what kind of protective wear do u guys recommend when im changing this filter? I've seen some nasty gas burns and i dont want that happening to me. thanks in advance, hope you guys are able to help me!

fuel pump relay... should be under the hood somewhere under that cover... not sure which is which

block the lines while you change it and you'll be fine...

Pulling a fuse won't help, anyway. As long as the ignition is "off" that line is dead. Do NOT loosen the fuel cap before or during the process.

most fuel pumps have a check valve that will hold pressure PAST the fuel filter... the tank has nothing to do with it.

the walbro in my buick will hold 45psi for weeks... it'll slowly bleed down if i dont drive the car for a month or so, but opening the gas cap isnt going to do crap, you're going to have pressure still. pull the fuel pump relay while the car is running and its the easiest way to get rid of pressure.
