Default 1st gen LS brakes on 2nd gen LS?

Does anyone know if any of the 1st gen LS brakes will fit on a 2nd gen LS? Specifically the 95-97 models...

(yes, i do realize the 2nd gen LS brakes are bigger and have better brake response and more braking power)

I would highly suggest to NOT attempt to put older technology on a newer vehicle.

it MAY be possible, the bolt patterns are the same.

(im assuming you want to do this so you can run super-low disk wheels in the front and take on a load of front lip , if you are contemplating this, i reccomend you find some pictures of steve's UCF20 post/mc as he retained the big brakes and is currently running the widest front lip on a stock (non-widebody) LS ive ever seen.)

you can find wheels that will fit, with the lip you want, but they are just not cheap or easy to find/acquire. they're out there. you have to look at the japanese high end wheel companies or some custom made hre, fikse, etc.

if yo're set on changing to 1G brakes, let me know, i'll trade you straight up.
one of my calipers is even new, with very recent drilled rotors.

I would rather add spacers any day over getting smaller brakes.

Yeah, its no fun being able to stop with commanding brakes, fade free.

Maybe I should trade you with the brakes on my GS. One lap and you'll take those comments back

so... I guess 1ls brakes are tiny? give me a break guys, we have big brakes no matter the generation. Personally though I think thats alittle extreme in the name of wheel fitment but whatever floats your boat bro

On steves car there was no change of brakes or adding spacers. Just have to go to a place that knows what to get you.

my buick has rotors almost as big as factory 1LS rotors and its 8 years older.

no doubt about it the 1LS brakes suck ***.
