The suspension will not work on the 91. Unfortunately, the later models can use some of the components from the earlier models, but not vise versa.

Tein made stuff for the 95-00 LS. No first gen stuff at all. His ad may be a typo, but trust me this will not fit your 91. I have a 92 myself, same colorcombo as yours and if this had fit I would have done so over a year ago.

Hmm that's interesting , my brother in NZ has a 93 LS400 and got the complete front and rear ends from a 00 LS400 and the shocks front and rear went straight in , a complete bolt in swap over .
Springs where a little bit softer and so was the dampening but there is certainly no problem with the physical fit .
Maybe that's why they don't list them , the weight and dampening rates are different , if you are going to coil-overs I don't see that as a problem as they would be adjustable , just need to get the spring rate right .

the pieces fit physically but the problem is that the stroke length is too long for the 1LS, so the shock spends more of its duty-cycle compressed and is therefore MUCH MUCH more liable to blow out very early.

thtas why 2LS can use 1LS shocks/coilovers, the stroke is shorter, not longer.

Thanks for jumping in PD,, I remember reading about the parts interchangibility in one of the older threads, but could not exactly remember why it did not work. Was getting a little heavy for me.
