Lexus LS 400 year 1997 to 1998 change
I noticed a 40hp upgrade in the 1998 edition of this model. Are there any other amenties that were added that would perhaps make me choose a 1998 over a 1997?
Your help is much appreciated.
PS: Did they put in the top speed limiters in 1995 or 1998?

I'm sure there is a thread on this forum which would provide the answer.
Beginning in 1998, VSC was standard -- incredible feature. And a five speed auto transmission. HID was optional but is on most LS400s sold by 1999. The foglights are in the bumper beginning in 1998 where they already were in earlier Euro market cars.
There were lots of other minor changes but the proportions/interior size and layout of the 97 and 98 are very similar.
