Default A/C blowing warm....

Hi all, I'm kind of new to the community I had an account before but I cant remember it so I had to make this new one...but any way, I have a 92 Ls400 thats blowing warm air. I have no idea what the problem is, I've looked up on here and lextreme and LOC and the only reasons I could find are compressors bad, so I got a new compressor(kinda new off another car which had working a/c). Installed it evacuated the system recharged, nothing. I find I should change the drier/accumulater, get a new evacuate/recharge, nothing. then I see the expansion valve could be stuck, get a new one evacuate/recharge, nothing...

I run the diagnostic codes it says nothing is wrong with the a/c, the only thing I found is when you run the codes and if you press and hold the a/c button you can toggle through the numbers 0-3 with the temperature switch i found mine was on 0 so i tried 1, nothing all the way up to 3 and no changes still just warm air....also when I put the guages on it the pressure on the high and low side are pretty much the same both go to about 110, I know that the low is supposed to be around 45 and the high around 200 something but they're both with eachother no matter what.

I have no idea what to check next and my cars a/c has been out for way too long now, can someone help with any input...thanks

Yes I know what you mean, and yes the clutch is engaging when I turn on the ac, I do know how to add refrigerant to the car. However, when adding it the pressure goes up evenly on high and low sides. Any help or ideas to what could be causing the problem

Dumb question, but you are running the compressor when checking the pressures, right? Because your compressor is the component that creates the pressure and when it is not running, the whole system tends to equilibrium...

Yes at full blast, I even turned it up I think. I'm assuming the 0-3 I mentioned on my first post was compressor power and I ran through all of them

Could it be a blocked evaporator?

NO, or your head pressure would go sky high. probably just need a compressor, that will suck and push the freon along.

Are you sure you connected your high-side gauge to the correct port? The high side port is below the air filter near the front of the car. Don't get confused by the fact that there are two "low-side" ports near the firewall.

Yes I have my low pressure hose connected to the line that goes under what I believe us the cruise control motor and my high pressure connected to the line in front near the headlight that connects to the drier. I have been wondering what that other connection near the firewall was though. another thing I'm wondering is, I retro ed it to r134 but the only thing the kit came with was basically connection that changed the fittings from r12 to 134 could it be the 134 isn't flowing right?

Yeah, I was confused by the two low-side ports as well. I finally figured out that I needed to hook my low side gauge to the lower one (and closer to the firewall) to charge it correctly.

well I tried charging it from that other port still nothing, I gave it up and took it to "The Dealer Alternative" a pretty good Lexus specialist here in town. They say its a bad compressor...I guess maybe the reeds inside are broken or something because it's enganging and everything, oh well I guess I'm in the market for a new compressor, again...
