and a new ls460 costs 60k pounds! thats like $120k

why are new cars so much more expensive?

i've always wondered. somebody wanna shed some light on this?

i've always wondered. somebody wanna shed some light on this?
LS400s arent as "liked" in the UK and the 1st car u mentioned has relatively high mileage (annual mileage in the UK is a decent bit lower than the US)

the 2nd car was comparable in miles/year as the first car and also had no service history prior to the timing belt+etc...


and dont forget that on new cars in the UK u have VAT+other taxes which is damn near 30% overall iirc

i know its not a perfect car but... you cannot find a decent(that car is decent) 96 for $2400 in the US.

a 98 for just under 6k? thats crazy. A rough(ish) base 98 in the US with 220k+ miles went for 5700 on ebay.


I guess its all about supply and demand.
