What brand HIDs did you use? Also what's the temperature rating on the bulbs?

Yes they are rated at 6000 K and they are hi/lo's as well .
Pure almost no glare at all in real life and compared to a lot I've seen they would be no glare at all !!
Mind you the others I have seen have not been LS400's , makes me wonder if the reason that there is little glare is the fact that they are glass lenses , relatively upright and probably of good design .
All of the Soarer's that I have seen fitted with HID's have heaps of glare ?
Anyhow have not been flashed once yet on low beam .

Did u use an actual kit or just change the lights? Cause I bought some that just changed the bulbs and they always went out after a month or 2. They look great while they work tho

For best results using HID's, it is always best to use a kit and not just the bulbs. It was always my understanding that HID bulbs burn brighter than regulars, thus needing more power fed through the wire harness; a harness which was not initially wired to handle the power demands that HID's necessitate. By using just the bulbs themselves you risk burning up your wire harness. HID bulbs burn at a brighter wattage than regulars, and the ignitors that comes with all HID kits safely converts the power from your factory wire harness and distributes it accordingly to the bulbs without risk of burniong anything up. Just my 2 cents.

those arent real hid's. they're POS bulbs.

hid=High Intensity Discharge which uses less wattage than standard halogen but MUCH MUCH more current (which is why there is no way you can have a HID system without a ballast).

When you put in the HID light Kit the dc dc converters change the voltage from 12dc to 12000vdc the HID bulb has no wires in the bulb it has a high voltage arc and dont look directly into the bulb it is to bright and could burn your eyes.The average price here in California is about $500.00 for the kit and when the bulbs burn out 3000 hours of use they cost $200.00 each. I have put the HID kit in my 2006 camry and wow is all I can say . I don't recommend using the HID kit on the older lexus because you only have low beams no high beams. The HID kit is really used for the four head light system. The HID bulb cannot be a low/high bulb only a low beam bulb. I have also heard that on Ebay you can buy them for around $200-240 for the good kits.
