Yes and No, check out the lights... Those aren't 98-00 Trunk lights

LiCelsior 06-25-07 03:28 PM

1st gen trunk lights?

PureDrifter 06-25-07 04:40 PM

look alright, trunk alignment on the pass. side is off by a lot tho, makes it look like they used 95-97trunk lights, but more than likely it was rear ended and not properly adjusted.

or perhaps the lighting+open trunk are throwing me off.

The whole trunk lid w/ lights and badges must have come from a UCF20 Series I. That explains the alignment and lights. The outer lights on the back are UCF20 Series II lights.

We test drive the vehicles we sell.

We do this as part of our vehicle quality and testing process.

As a result, there may be a few more miles on it

typically only 200 to 400 - than the mileage listed above.
Wow...that is quite a test drive.

Look again at the very first picture. The back driver's side door does not line up correctly along it's bottom edge.

As someone else mentioned, this car looks like it has been in an accident.

Perhaps someone just got a complete trunk lid off of another similarly colored (and perhaps older?) ls400 to repair some rear end damage.

jaguar shift knob too

avalon42 06-25-07 09:01 PM

Thank god I have a mill gauge and some experience in body work. My 92 has seen unpleasant times but not to the point where it was repaired improperly. Speaking of which, I need to paint soon....

hobojoe 06-25-07 09:21 PM

any ideas on a paint color your going for?

Glad someone else noticed that :)

The paint flaking and cracking off the rear bumper is a dead giveaway of accident damage and poor panel repairs.......the fact that the bootlid (sorry - "trunk" ;) ) doesn't even come close to lining up is another.
