Default Audio HELP

the Nakamichi radio is malfunctioning, it sends no signals to the right side speakers, this I was told by my Lexus dealer, should i just replace it, or , for what it cost, try to get after market stuff, i do know that I will probably have to change everything (radio and amp, possibly speakers) nothing intergrates with it. I live in detroit, any suggestions as to what to do and where to go?

I have a 93 LS400 w/Nak and had a similar problem. Left side speakers out, but only on CD mode. I completely removed the factory phone & components. Two days later the I got all the audio back and haven't had a problem since (1 month). If you have the factory phone I'd suggest taking it out.

Going aftermarket isn't easy. I did it in my '98 LS and I had to create a custom wiring harness to mate up with the plug that goes to the factory amp, but despite all the work involved, I'm very pleased with the results. I love plugging my ipod right into the stereo.
