My Tivo just caught this show using my 'Lexus' keyword search and watched the episode at lunch. Pretty interesting and well done show!

It's now playing on the HDT (HD Theater, a Discovery channel - one of those 'extra' channels you get with a high def tier package). Came on Tuesday at 8:30pm eastern for me.

Edit - here's a link showing what will be covered, looks like the LS is back on July 19 parts 1 and 2

Glad to see somebody found this show already and had posted about it.

I was pretty freaked out as I watched the episode. They did EXACTLY all the stuff I've done with my car! Only thing they have me beat on is the body work...I could use some paint in a few spots.

Rims, climate LCD, HID's (I didn't use the retarded 8000K ones he got), clear corners, suspension; it looks a lot like my car does but with IS wheels instead of RX 18's. Cool show...his accent drives me nuts though.

FYI, I was able to find a torrent to download the full episode in one file.

Yeah, I watched this about 6 months ago on HD theater. I have seen it a few times on youtube as well. It is funny how it is so common among on vehicles to have similar problems. He does a good job of breaking down of the build and needed repairs. This also served as a guide for removing the bumper, as well as why I purchased the IS wheels, because I knew they'd fit. Not a big fan of 8000k anyways, i'm partial to 4300k, factory.

looks to be a 93-94 model year car.

the car in the first scene is a 95-97 car with 98-00 wheels (excl. '00 plat. series)

8000K are ugly indeed, the 4300K is a much better setup.

I appreciate the technical side of the show. The haggler annoys me though. It shows how hard it is to buy an LS at a ridiculously low price, fix it up then try to sell it for a profit. Those are ES wheels, not IS. I'm surprised they fit over the brakes.

1LS does not have the 4 piston calipers. There are few fitment issues in these instances.

I love Wheeler Dealer's the only thing that irritates me is they never factor in the time poor Ed has to put into the cars fixing them when they come up with the total cost of the job at the end of each episode.

that being said, thanks for the post!
