that doesnt seem like a bad idea since even thought he claims its a bad HG its more than likely just a toasted idle up valve on the PS.

The winning bid was $1000 even. Wonder if it was anybody from here?

I don't personally think a 1990 model Lexus could be considered a 'classic'
no matter what. And 260K miles is a LOT of miles I don't care what the
price is. Fixing problems on old cars can cost you a mint. I recently bought
a pristine 93 with only 54K miles on it, but everything checked out on the
car before I bought it, and it is just like new. I will keep it and sell another
93 with 123K miles just to beat the odds on repair costs. But, I do like that
cloth interior which I don't think was available after 1990. It beats the hell
out of leather and lasts forever.

personally i think the cloth makes the interior look just a bit tacky.

especially grey cloth, as it stains easy.

and burgundy, and blue cloth, that's just gawdy, reminds me of GM interiors.

Ive got the same car same grey cloth and no sunroof...I love it!

My old LS4 is soooo 'comfy'. It doesnt have all the 'bells and whistles' but I LOVE to drive this thing.

Actually, with proper care, the cloth interior of the early LS400 holds up much better than a leather interior that has had equally good care.

The gray cloth interior of our 1990 LS400 looked like new when we sold the car in 2003 after 13 1/2 years of ownership. And the cloth was more comfortable in summer and winter than the leather in our 2000 LS400.

Over the years, lots of people told me that they loved the way the gray cloth seats looked and felt. They definitely had a certain "wow factor".
