Got a slow seatbelt ? Get your 1 tip ready
It is the simplest fix and thought it deserves its own thread as it is common on every car imaginable.
If your belt does not like to retract it is usually linked back the the seat belt getting dirty . Clean the belt with a MR. clean magic eraser . Then clean the anchor at the top of the belt with a q tip dipped in rubbing alcohol . This will clean out the gunk which adds friction and cause the belt to not pull back up.
If only doing the anchor it will work well also and the belt will get faster. When it is dry apply some interior detailer which will act as a lubricant to speed things up.
All done in 30 seconds .

yeah i read this awhile back... mine are the springs in the motors.
they might just need to be cleaned and regreased... ive noticed when the interior is warmer, the passenger side even sometimes will actually retract on its own.. crazy..
out of luck when its cold outside though.

Not sure where you read it before as the thread is a few days old.
Even with the springs loosing their elasticity the dirt getting stickier from heat on the anchor will slow it to a stop.
I know my would not move much when it was hot but now it is no problem at all. Not as fast as when it was new but damn good to me as i don;t have to feed it back or give my wife the evil eye for not pulling it back up.

when i feed it back into the B pillar i have zero resistance from the anchor point, its all the actual retracting mechanism down under the panels.
