Family member might be getting a LS400

I know nobody likes noob questions in CL, but my brother might be getting an LS400 in a few months. He really wants the 95+ years so is there anything specific we should be looking for when buying these? Sorry if this was discussed before.

things that go wrong:
PS idle up valve, PS hoses, alternator, ball joints, strut rods.
other than that just look for regular maintenance.
