I put 18's on mine and the gap was too much with stock struts - you'll want to drop yours when you see the gap unless the gap doesn't bug you. I dropped mine nearly 2" from this photo and now it is acceptable to the eye

I see so many cars that look like 4x4's - to each his own I suppose but little gap good big gap bad.

If you dont plan on dropping DO NOT get 19's or 20's. You will ride crazy high and get that donk-esk look. The LS can pull off 18's with no drop, but they only look ok most of the time. If you wanna roll on anything bigger than a 17 I highly suggest you drop the car.

19" and larger lift the car off the ground, makes it look like ****. go 18" if you're not going to lower it.
depending on how wide a wheel you get, anywehre from 225 40 18 in front to 285 30 18 in the back.

I have 20" rims on my 91 ls400 and the look is nothing like a 4x4 or donk-ish the look is nice with stock suspention with no drop.

It won't look donk-ish with 20" rims, since the LS tends to work better with larger rims. However, you probably do have a fair amount of wheel gap, right?

And just a question, do you get any rubbing when you turn the steering wheel all the way in either direction?

hey PD, while you're here - would the 18" LS460 wheels fit on the 2LS? They're 7.5" wide with a +32 offset. It seems as though they would fit, but the wording on the offset calculators online was a bit confusing to me.

offset doesnt matter they wont fit.

LS460 uses 5x120 bolt pattern (first lextoy to ever do so, rest are 5x114.3 except the trucks)

holy crap are you serious?

that explains why i see their wheels going for less than scrap aluminum price on ebay

looks like i'll need these to make them fit
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Wheel...7860QQtcZphoto

and then it'll look like/be like crap because spacers suck
