I've noticed a squeaking noise coming from the front of my car. It sounds like its directly behind the radiator/front of the engine. The belt dosen't look bad, but it's probably the original. Could the belt be bad? Could the squeak be a bad pulley bearing or is it a sign that the water pump might be going? The car has 45k miles on it.

water pump starts to leak when it is bad through a weeping hole in the bearing.

I don't see any leaking water. I guess thats a good sign. Maybe it's the fan bearing/braket as Puredrifter suggested. Is this a common problem?

I've only had the car for about a month, and it didn't make the noise when I bought it. However, over the weekend I drove through a very dusty wind/storm that covered the car/engine with dust. After that I noticed the squeak. Could the dust have gotten into the fan braket bearing? Or maybe the drive belt tensioner?
