Default Manual odometer stopped working, but digital still works. WTF?

the trip meter works fine.. the physical odometer has stopped working. how the hell?

anyone deal with this before?

not much you can do about this mine stopped at 169k on my 91 and remained that way until i sold it.

Failure of the mechanical odometer used on the 90-92 LS is very common - there have been other threads on this subject in the past.

Yep, mine failed at about 125K miles on the 90 LS I used to have. But the mechanical odomether is a cheap part - or at least it was in the late 90's when mine failed.
