Asian or Nippendenso Fuel Pump in 1991 ls400??
 

Im trying to find a used fuel pump assembly from a salvage yard and they are all asking me if its Asian or Nippedenso?? My car is a 91 ls400..did they put 2 different types in this year?? I hate to pull mine to try to find out what it is. Thanks:)

Anyone heard of there being different pumps??

I take apart the trunk and there is a 50010 on the outside of the fuelpump cover but also there is a ND which I assumed was Nippendenso. I call Lexus and they say 50010 is Asian...but I explain the emblem engraved into the metal and then they say it sounds like a Nippendenso?? They are confused as well!

just go with the nippendenso because that seems to be what lexus prefers anyway

Aisan is another supplier to Toyota. They specialize in fuel/emission parts. They supply OEM to Toyota throttle position sensors, throttle bodies and throttle dashpot closers.

Denso parts will say ND DENSO, NIPPONDENSO or just DENSO. Aisan is in script, here's their site: http://www.aisan-ind.co.jp/english.htm
