NGK R sparkplugs in 91 ls400? Resistor plugs or Platinum?
Ive been chasing a 400 idle in park when warm and slight hesitation at 40-45mph when trying to cruise at this speed consistently barely touching the gas pedal. The 3rd symptom Im having is the car takes about 10 seconds of cranking in the morning to start but will start up fine anytime after that but after sitting overnight it has a harder time. I was looking at plugs on the driver side today and noticed NGK R? Arent these resistor plugs? Should the car have platinum plugs? ThanksNel

Hello Finally got a chance to play with the car. Looks like the ngk I have are platinum and the correct ones. They have the same part number as the owner manual recommends on the NGK. Would plugs cause it to have a hard time(crank for 10 seconds) in the morning and a low idle(400rpm)when warm in park??or am I wasting my money buying new plugs? If I unplug my Idle control valve when I first start the car the idle will jump up and down so I assume its working but when the engine is warm and I unplug it there is no change at all? I does idle up at 800rpms when cold and drops down when warm...Any ideas?? Thanks
