Default Dash warning lights came on!

I'm driving my car down the highway and all of a sudden the dash lights up like a christmas tree!!

Oil Light
Battery Light
Traction Control light
Emergency Brake light

...I'm slowly noticing my lights dim. Soon after, the car stalls when I pull over. Doesn't restart. I wait 15 minutes, it starts, but 2 minutes later the exact same thing happens.

I'm guessing it's the alternator??? I do have a slow power steering leak, and I remember reading somewhere on this forum that the alternator can go soon after a leak. Has anyone had a similar problem? Could it be more since all 4 warning lights came on?

thanks!!

Most probably the alternator .
You mean you had a P/S pump leak and you knew what it does to the alternator and you still didn't do anything about it !!!
While you are doing the alt , put a kit [ they are quite cheap ] in the P/S pump and replace the main pressure hose as well .
I have the same prob except I have a big new batterry in the car so it's still running , mind you my P/S is not leaking , my alt just simply failed .

I would say alternator as well. Had that happen to me in a '93 GS300.

first take a look at your power steering pump to see if it is leaking .Then change your battery cables before going further.

skperformance: I actually just changed my starter, battery and battery cables, so I think that is all fine. There is no question about the PS leaking somwhere because I've gone through over 2 bottles of the stuff in the last 4 months.

I noticed you live in the GTA, can you recommend any cheap shops that are familiar with LS's?

Thanks
