Hey guys !! Newbie here. I was just handed down a 91 ls 400 from a family member and wanted to pick you brains with this weird situation. The car drives pretty decent (get this) with the lights off, but with the lights on the car will not shift..it will rev but never get into gear....thanks for any advice or help given and look forward to chatting and participating in this forum in the future !!!

check the trunk hinge wiring harness.

if those break/short it causes really weird stuff to happen.
