Default Fog light Mod for UCF10???

Searched but could only find for the newer Ls and even then weren't great pictures, or detailed instructions.

What I'm looking for is the mod (for 1990 LS400) so that the foglights can be turned on anytime independent of the headlights.

pictures of which wires to used and how to access them would be great.

example picture...

Here's a simple way ,I turned mine into DLR's buy running the wires to the heated seat fuse under hood. ( I don't have heated seats but fuse is there )
...So this means lights come on when ignition is turned on.
I have 2nd Gen but same can be done for 1st Gen.

All you have to do is find the foglight relay. Should be one of a few in the drivers kick panel. Then you have to run a wire from the switch on the stalk, and 2 for power source, and 1 hooked up to the parking light fuse so you can operate fogs with the parking lights.

I get the general idea but I kind of need a tutuorial with pictures to follow along.

I've done the mod before on a acura integra, but it was easy cause i just popped the switch out and and rewired it to the rear defrost switch right next to it...

I'll try to get the pic of the fuse box up .

ok, basically it seems that you can follow this tut for the 95-97 LS400
https://www.clublexus.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=144434

but use this diagram instead of the one given.

wire number 2 is the one youl want to rewire to a 12v source. probably an ign. 12V is ur best bet, so it isnt on all the time.

I'd connect it to the parking light fuse, so that you dont have to turn them on, and off everytime you enter and exit the car. Have them come on with the parking lights. I found that to be much easier. THats how I have them on my LS, and now on the GS. You can easily change that last part around... if you want to do ignition, then use the wipers fuse.

is there any way to have the fogs so they can still be turned on and off with the switch on the stalk, but only with ignition on.

so for this foglight mod, to my understanding. i'll have to pull the relay out, make an extension, and connect 1,3, and 4 back to the fuse box area, and run #2 to a 12v source such as the parking light fuse? just wanted to double check what my thoughts were. i've been wanting to do this to my UCF21 but don't quite understand the directions. any help would be great.
