Default New Radiator in 1990 LS400..Questions

About a year ago after 230K miles on my 1990 LS400 it was time for a radiator replacement..my local shop did the work and they installed an aftermarket radiator and thermostat (no idea what brand radiator) Can i assume it has an aluminum core? I want to flush the system and use the best possible antifreeze (with distilled water of course) Any suggestions on what to use? Thanks!

if you are not in an area where it freezes do not bother with antifreeze.

distilled water + a product called "RMI-25" is the best thing ever.

go getcha some.

Default Thanks for the response..

I bounced around the web checking out the product..very interesting..although nowhere i searched mentioned using the product only with distilled water..i should mention the new radiator has 7K miles on it and i'm pretty sure it was filled with the standard "green" antifreeze (Prestone most likely) which i believe is ok for this 1990 model. Also the drive belt was replaced at the same time. I also have what i believe is a water pump bearing squeal and as far as i can research the water pump was last replaced in 1995 along with a timing belt @90K miles...belt again replaced @ 189K miles but i cannot find any record of the water pump replaced at that time so i'm assuming the water pump on the vehicle has 140K miles on it....hence the bearing noise? Any word regarding Zerex "Water pump lubricant & protector" word on the web says it's a pretty good product.TIA for all suggestions and/or thoughts!
