hey i was just wanted to see how dark of tint LS onwers put on there car.this friday iam getting 5% all the way around.

I wish I could get 5% all around. I'm in California. I think the legal amount is 35% upfront, and you can get 5% in the back. I'm thinking however of doing 25% all around. I don't like the look of the tint being significantly darker in the night. 35% is too light, and I think I can get away with 25% without being pulled over. What are other people's experiences in CA?

hey suneet, legal amount in the front is NOT 35, its 70% light transmittance (very very light)

im running limo in the back and medium in the front. see sig for specific %s.

My bad! I honestly thought it was 35%. Wow 70% is like nothing. So you're able to get away with 50% upfront? How does that look? I really like the look of having the same percentage all around, and am not too fond of stark differences between the front and the back.

ya 5 is a nice tint but i think its illegal on the front windows in FL man, i doubt that cops would care, maybe if they pull you over for something else like speeding they might add the tint ticket on top of it, but i dont they they will pull u over just for the tint.

I am bay area, I got the tint done at rocky mountain window tint ( 250 with a lifetime warranty) the tint is flawless, ive looked it over up and down and i cannot find a single flaw. anyway im 925, you bay area? you should check out Blacklist (link in my sig) im always looking for other ls's to cruise with so hit us up. and heres my whip...

I have a really dark tint on my Celsior , I don't even need to use my rearview LCD at night , it's really good for my kids in the back as I don't need a sock or any kind of screen .
At night however if I'm backing and need to use my side mirrors I have to put the window down !!
I like it , with the dark green the car looks like a Maffia Staff Car !!
