Compressor Noise
Now that I refurbished & reinstalled my starter sucessfully (saving $1K), I need to move ion to the next last problem: A/C compressor noise.
After I start my 2000 ls400, the engine sounds great. I turn on my A/C and immediately hear a buzzing sound. I look in my engine compartment, down at the compressor. I noticed that when the A/C is turned on the top of the compressor spins. This buzzing sound is comming from that "thing-a-majig" spinning on the compressor.
Does anyone have any ideas on how a DYI can fix that.

Yes, mine had the same problem, it worked fine but made noise, it will eventually go out. I would replace it before it goes out it, it is harder to remove after it is locked up. look on ebay, I got a good deal on one. I will look and find the name of the company and email you back, but it was off ebay.
