I have a 1990 lexus ls400 just wondering how hard it is to change the starter. Never did one and I just purchased the car about a week ago and the power steering went out and I let it sit until I got time to mess with it and I tried to crank it and it wouldnt it would just click so I thought it might have been the battery so I put another one in it and battery that is and it just click still so I was under the assumption that the starter was gone, please help, and thanks to those who do help

very hard, you have to remove the intake manifold

Yup...the starter is located under the intake plenum. This is a costly fix but shop around, I paid almost $700 as a comparison. Some places quoted me $1,100
