Default few questions about the 2nd gen ls

hey fellow ls 400 owners...i have a few questions about a 95 ls400.

are there any aftermarket support for these cars as far as performance?
what is the power potential of these motors?
is the bottom end iron or aluminium?

im kind very new to the lexus performance....but i did own a 95 ls400 a few years ago and regret selling.....but very interested in buying one in very near future.

thanks in advance for help!!

Give it a little time, man. You posted that while everyone was sleep...and the LS forums aren't as popular as the GS forums.......just be patient.

I'm almost certain it's aluminum.

No, your 95 is still a 1UZFE but has variable valve timing resulting in 10 more HP.
The Chassis has also been changed to a UCF20.

If you have a 2UZFE I would have to ask if your LS is a 4wd drive since that is a LX470 engine. It is cast Iron unlike the other UZFE's. But hey Ivan Stewart used to campaign one of those that was good for 560HP or so!

You need to be a the Australian site, they have no fear or lack of imagination when it comes to UZFE engine mods. I think it is mainly Ausie driven??

http://lextreme.com/forums/index.php?

BTW: To complete the family a 3UZFE is in the SC & GS430's.
