95 LS400 Speed Sensor VSS and Kenwood Navigation Question
Hi, I searched forums to see if I can find a solution or idea to a problem I am having but could not find help.
I got my navigation unit installed at a professional shop and everything works great EXCEPT the following:
I cannot get the speed to display on my navigation. The shop installed the white wire labeled to Car Speed Sensor from my Kenwood KNA-DV3100 unit to my ECU Purple and White wire under the glovebox and it still don't work. Do I have the right wire or speed sensor?
It is a brand new navigation unit and I have no speedometer issues as far as I know becasue It works just fine. I have read there is another Speed Sensor Wire or VSS somewhere by the tranny. Could it be they have to hook up the navigation speed sensor wire to that speed sensor by the tranny?
If any of you guys have installed a navigation on a similar 95-97 LS400 and can help me out I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

I have the same unit, but a different car. On the 1998 GS 300, the VSS wire is the green wire next to the pink in the speedo cluster. Not sure if this helps or not, but good luck!
