I have noticed that l-tunedparts.com carries S&S headers for the first Gen LS on up! This is very exiting, also the price is reasonable. I was wondering if anyone has sprung for this mod or haven't for any specific reasons. Seems like a no brainer to me but just thought I would ask if anyone is running after market headers on their LS400.

I'm pretty sure the stock headers on the LS400 flow relatively well compared to most cars so that's why most people dont bother to change them.

the headers have been around a couple years now

and most people dont change them because you need supporting mods to make it worthwhile, and the install is expensive.

cool, good info guys I think I will spend the money elsewhere then, the LS is going in for a tint job today and the decklid flush mounted Wings West spoiler should be in next week (paint and install). I am looking at exhaust next. Anyone out there absolutely love they exhaust and want to recommend one? I have been looking at universal Borlas and Magnaflows...

TUNINGGRüPPE has a full exhaust system, cat deletes, and pretty soon an intake system, along with some chassis stuff.

PM me for contact info.

L-Sport, what size rims and tire combo are you running? I hear 19's are best for first generations, but im leaning towards 20's.

Any idea why installation is expensive. I would be doing the work myself but I assume on these cars there isnt really enough room to just swap headers with the engine bolted in place. Do you need to raise the engine to permit accesss?

Thanks buddie.

would be nice if there are like under brace and some other suspension parts for the 1st LS, not just aftermarket bushing.
