Default Leather seats

Was the final conclusion on our lexus leather seats the following: That leather rejuvenators (the stuff that's supposed to make them soft again) won't work on our seats because there is a top layer on the leather that won't allow it to absorb the stuff?

Well I am glad to know this. I won't be wasting money to do that. I think that I'll just have them redone, because mine are dry as hell. My driver side has a rip and it feels like imatation leather seating not good.

I'm not sure if I'm correct, but I think I remember reading this was so. I've tried some leather conditionars without much luck. All they do is make the leather feel slick or sticky.

Guys...after reading here about lexor stuff and fast orange cleaner, i did both to my 92 leather, which was hard and starting to crack and it NOTICABLY softened and conditioned the leather... much much better.

How did you apply the lexor? did you plastic wrap it? Did you let it sit in the sun? Did you wipe it off immediately?
