Track off and Check engine comes on
Well, I was trying to take care of my new baby(96 LS400). I decided to clean the engine compartment of all the dirt and grease. Long story short. I drove it the next day, and "track off" light keeps on blinking, and the "check engine" stays on. Its killing me because I took the battery off for an hour, and it still comes on. Does anyone have any idea on what should look for before I take it to the stealership. Thanks.

You need to get the error code.
I got the same problem a few monts ago ... 1st: it was code 22 & 23 - Oxygen sensors, then few week later the same msg came up. I believe it was code 72 (or 73) EGR. I replace the EGR modulator.

After replacing the EGR modulator, the check engine and trac off lights disappear.
As I mention earlier, you need to get the error codes because there are a few possibilities, but from my experience, it is either the oxygen sensor and/or EGR modulator.
