Did anyone else have 2JZ-GTE swap in their LS400
I visit http://www.cureline.net/lex/index.htm and got inspire by his work, so today I just bought a used 2JZ-GTE for my LS400 swap project. The engine cost about $1500 and come complete with all ECU, automatic shiftgate, intercooler, and fuel pump. I need more information on such swap and does speedometer and tach will work with new engine.
And which fuel pump given more flow rate 2JZ - GTE or 1UZ-FE.

The swap itself is not very hard at all. Just make some good engine mounts, do some custom work on driveshaft and you are half way there. What you find the hardest is all the wiring that has to be done. Let some shop do it for you. It is hell and I am not joking.
Thanks on inspiration comment though. Appreciated.

Try to remove the old V8 today. First, I just notice that 1UZ have engine fan while 2JZ have radiator fan... So shall I need to find 2JZ radiator to replace the old one..... or just get the fan unit and keep the old radiator...................

Hi, retrodrive..
While I remove the front bumper today I notice the headlamp water spray and think that it can be easily modify into intooler water spray...... I got the idea from Mitsubishi EVO8. The cooler intake temp is far more important than clean head lamp.. ha ha ha .........
