Default Would a 2002 Wood Steering Wheel fit my 95 LS400?

What are my options in terms of turning my 95 LS400 stock steering wheel to the fancy wooden ones like this one on Ebay?

Would a 2002 LS400/LS430 Steering Wheel fit on a 95 LS400?

Thank you:

It might bolt in but the airbag or any of the other controls will NOT work.

Actally I dont think anyone has been successfull in transplating a wood wheel from a 98 - 00 into a 95 - 97 LS.

Their have been lots of people to try and there are many post here in CL on it.

The first LS we bought in early 1990 had an all leather wheel. Our 2000 LS has a maple wood/leather wheel which is far less pleasant than an all-leather wheel.

Sure, the wood looks nice but it just doesn't it feel good on a cold winter day (6 degrees today!) or when driving fast on curvy roads. The only plus I can see with the wood/leather wheel is that it might deteriorate less from sun damage over the long haul.

Funny, all-leather steering wheels are actually an option on LS430's in other markets where wood/leather steering wheels are standard.

I think you are very fortunate to have an all-leather steering wheel.

(The very best steering wheel on any car I have had was the incredibly thick all leather wheel on the MB 450SEL I had back in the 70's.)

Actually, the wood gets cracked from the sun. But I still would take it over the leather any time of the year. Both in looks and feel, but then again, I live in florida. In a hot climate, an all leather steering wheel is NOT your friend.

Even though we've been through this...I like the leather.
