Default What do you thing about these mufflers???

Hello everybody,

I thinking about changing mufflers in my LS. My OEM tips are "destroyed", and definatelly they don't look good.

These muflers are made here in Poland, but most of all they are stainless steel and cheap!!!! I think it will be 80$ per muffler. Tip dimensions are - 140/70mm oval. Lenght of the can is 320mm +220mm tip.

I know that they wont give me any performance gain but they look nice...

here is the link:

I appreciate any answer.

BTW.

I have one more question for U guys. When I put SHIFT into D,R,1,2 I hear a strange noise from my tranny.
Something like sqeek in water or even I could say - the noise like somebody is screaming under water. This is similar to the working gearing in oil. I know this is in tranny, because when engine is on neutral or park everything is ok and I hear only the engine. This noise stops when I'm driving over 50/60 mph. I hear this especially when I accelerate - from 0-60 on the highest gear when car wants to go faster on the lowest rpms. After kickdown everything is good - but only on higher speeds. When engine is warmed up, it can be heared too but it's more quiet. What could this be???
Will tranny oil flush fix the thing??? Should I also change the filter or full flush will be enough???

overall IMO tranny works great... this is my first AT transmission car and I cannot say that something is wrong with it because I had no opportunity to compare it to the other LS. I heared that shifting in this car should be very very smooth - probably it is but i definatelly feel this jump to the next gear.

Thanks for any answers one more time!!!!

Is that the whole muffler in that pic or just the tips? If so why are the mufflers so thin?

If those are the exact tips that are going on your mufflers (whether OEM or aftermarket), it looks like they will have to be cut....otherwise they would be sticking too far out from the rear bumper (disregard this if that's the look you're going for).

hey

these are the whole mufflers!!! Yes, they look strange when U compare them to borla's big "cans" but I like them. Now i'm waiting for an email from this comp with precision measurments)....the can of this muffler is 5,5" wide the same as tip.

At the bottom of this page U can find some data about it: http://www.lorbi.com.pl/wymiary.html

Guys, any ideas about my gearbox????
