Hey Mike (Lexkost),

So how hard was it to replace the trans mount? When you mean, the shifter vibrate, was it like a shake or a back and forth motion? The reason I ask is because my shifter moves back and forth when going over rough road or over bumbs and I asked a Lexus mechanic in Oxnard if this was normal and he said yes. So now I am wondering. Do I need to change mine out.

I was thinking of replacing engine and transmission mounts, but I wanted to know how much it will cost? I don't have major problems I can just feel the car jerk a little when it shifts from 2nd to 3rd sometimes.

The same thing happened to my 92 sc400. The tranny mount cmae off in two pieces and after it was replaced, the car ran alot smoother. My brother changed the tranny mount for me within 20-30minutes and the tranny mount costed me about $83. If you guys have a high milage car, it'll be a good idea to change the mounts. I plan to change my engine mount next.

yep, that was my old trans mount. After changing it, my car feels like as its brand new. You dont feel much of the tranny anymore. The vibration is gone too.

You should do the motor mounts too. I thought changing all three mounts made a huge difference.

Does anyone know the best place to get them from? How much will they roughly cost?

How much will a shop typically charge for labor when installing them? (I guess that depends on how long it takes)
