dome light problems

Unhappy dome light problems

for some reason my dome light is nto working when i open the doors. The light bulb is fine because it works when i change the sliding switch to ON. Hower, nothing happens when it is on DOOR and the doors are opoened...any advice?

most likely the buttons that are supposed to pop open when you open the door are sticking. try taking the rubber boot off and greasing them

I had the same problem with my 93. You should fix it soon as you can or it will run your battery down if stuck in the wrong position. Greasing them won't help much, jus replace them. They cost about $16 a piece and arn't that difficult to replace. You will need to come in from the panel that holds the seatbelt.

Here is the part#L8423150 $15.33. Make sure you get specify the front because the rear switch is different.
