The older Lexus models may have had real wood, but the newer models do not have wood. I think this link may have more info...

Nope, its real wood FOR SURE....heh......I've actually got the brochure for my 91' LS that talks all about how 'It took years to pick out the type of wood', and whatnot.....

My UK spec LS has the original info sheet which states that the car has "burr walnut interior trim". I don't think this would differ from US spec cars.

It's real wood, people It's just that the wood is like an "onion peel" mounted onto plastic and sealed under a lot of lacquer. You can tell by the depth of grain on a sunny day that's it's not a photoprint.

Yes, it's a lot nicer wood than the stuff that used in the Benzes of late 80s/early 90s.

I just had the radio and heater controls out of my car, and I can assure you it is real wood. On the center console, the walnut veneer is laminated to a thin plywood backing, and then clear coated. The quality is quite outstanding. The ashtray is a carved piece of the same wood it appears.

Lexus uses REAL wood in all of its vehicles (except IS300).
