Default fuel gauge question

i've noticed that even though my gas tank is filled to it's max, my gas gauge only reads about 3/4 full. has anyone had the same problem also does anyone have any suggestions on a fix. thanks.

If your car was 93-94 years, may be it was a bad capacitor on the computor board inside the cluster.If I remenber is right, it was c142. I had post how I trouble this problem and fix it in this board few month's ago.
