not enough power...
My 93LS compared to my friend's 92LS seems to have nowhere the same power that he has. I reset my ECU which made it a little better but still nowhere close.
Any other ideas ? keeping in mind that his is stock as well with more mileage than mine.
thanks.

First order of business would be to do a compression check on your engine. Fuel injector cleaning, throttle body cleaning & a general tune-up would help as well ( wires & plugs ). Just a suggestion.

I'm with 5ofakind: compression check, injector cleaning and throttle body clean. If you haven't given it a tune-up at the recco'd intervals, that is also a suggested fix. Check air filter and while you have the air snorkel off, look down between the condenser and radiator for debris.
Is your tranny slipping?

The tranny's not slipping.
the car has 67K miles . do you think a compression check would help ? I always thought that was helpful in case of high mileage engines.
As for the injectors, well is that something the dealer will do because I've already tried the injector cleaners but didn't help much.
I also read in another thread that changing the plugs is not really a piece of cake in this car. is that true ?
as for the air filter, I will go ahead and get that changed in the meanwhile. While I'm at it, where's the air filter located ?
thanks again !

At 67K miles, that is practically new, I wouldn't suspect anything regarding engine compression. Stop go traffic and or short runs where the car does not warm up to operating temp can be hard on it. Seems to me, it needs a good long road trip.
The plugs aren't that bad to change. Remove the intake cover and inlet piping, remove the plug covers and simply replace the plugs. Granted it isn't as easy as some cars, this took me about an hour to do. The air cleaner is on the passenger side just behind headlight. Both these are at the 60K service interval anyway.

Disconnect your battery for 5 minutes, drive the car agressively for 15 minutes or so and see if it improves. Our transmission is a self-learning so if you have been driving the car slow most of the time it will adopt to that driving style.

93 is also a little heavier than the first-gen LS4. Car & Driver has the following stats for 93 LS4: 0-60 8.3, 1/4M 16.3. 91 LS4 0-60 7.9, 1/4m 15.9. 93 weighted 3,998 lb and 91 weighted 3,837 lb
