Either find a new Denso, which is difficult or find a used Denso. That’s a much better option than to get a new Chinese sensor. They are all headaches. What is going on with yours? Have you tried cleaning it? I hear a lot of people replacing theirs without a good reason, unless your getting a DTC that is directly related to a malfunctioning MAF then there is no reason to replace it.

Had it looked at by a buddy all the symptoms were pointing towards replacing and there’s this broken part on the inside which make me believe it’s broken

Well if it’s got to be replaced, just avoid anything made in China. There has been a lot of problems with Chinese MAF sensors. Find a used one on eBay or something
