Feedback on Strutmasters conversion to LS400 Air Suspension
I have seen threads on here before discussing the ease of installation of Strutmasters, but not much feedback on ride quality, etc.
Presently, I can get the JIC-Magic Coilovers for approx. $1650 (with a 4-6 week wait) OR the Strutmaster conversion kit for $745 (within a few days).
All I know from what I've gleaned on the internet is the Strutmasters lack adjustability as to height or dapening. The JIC's can adjust height and have 15 shock settings. According to another thread by Retrodrive, the JIC's are supposed to be awesome. But, they are very expensive and I need to get my car back on the road soon.
Has anybody had an opportunity to compare these? What feedback is there generally for the Strutmasters?

In response to "stock" set up, is your thought that they would be no better than a Lexus LS400 originally spec'd without the air suspension? Can you be more specific?

Sorry for the delayed response Lexhost. I somehow missed that you had replied to my follow-up question. Initially, I had been leaning towards wanting a tighter ride and less of a "luxury car" feel. However, the more I read people's feedback and reviews, I think I would probably find the JIC's to be too stiff. I wish I could find someone here in Dallas who has a coil-over set-up so I could decide before I buy. I would also like the ability to lower the car just a tad - not enough to be totally obvious, but just to give it a little sportier look.
