Default help! different wiring

I had bought a while ago some depo auto lamps corner and middle headlights made for 2nd gen Celsiors and I had got them for my ls400 and the wiring is very different. for starters the socket for the actual light to go in on the corners are bigger than the original sockets on my current corners. also all my wiring only has 2 wires and both the new corners and middles call for 3wires. Any suggestions on what I should do or if there is any adapters available? I'm thinking about just taking off the lenses on the new middle lights and just put them on my old housing but as for the corners, they need to be replaced.

yes the JDM headlights/corner lights for a celsior differs from USDM lights for an LS400! i am assuming you are talking about 95-97 model years.
the corner of the JDM models use a dual filament bulb (larger), where the USDM uses a simple wedge bulb (smaller) hence the wiring and hole size difference.

i suggest to get a bulb holder/socket to fit the larger hole. this thread is for a 98-00 on their lower corner lights but the principle is similar.

yes, i am talking about the 95-97 models. My major thing my corner lights that are currently on my car are chipping at the plastic and the lenses are fogged over so chances are im going to have to use the new depo ones in place. should i try and use the connector and bulb it came with or try and just find a holder or socket?

When you say "the connector and bulb it came with" - do you mean that you got the bulb and socket for the Celsior corner lights and headlights?

If so, then you have pretty much everything you need, aside from adapting your wiring. You just need to figure out how they are supposed to be wired (sorry I have no info on this)

Fair enough lol but yes I am talking about the celsior socket and bulb. My main thing is that I am not electrician nor have really any basic knowledge on connecting wiring/adding a wire so that'd be a task in itself. Id much rather use the clesiors though because they can fit bigger size bulbs but that might be a challenge.

Understandable. Realistically, you'll either have to start learning how to read wiring diagrams and understand electronics (great videos for this on youtube), or you will need the skills to manufacture a socket adaptor for the LS 400 socket (probably with something like 3d printing)

The other option is to buy LS 400 parts and sell the Celsior lights for a profit.

wiring it shouldn't be too bad if you have the socket and pigtail connector to go along with it. the simplest approach is to use your existing two wires and skip the 3rd wire (which is used for the signal light on JDM models).

you just need to splice black to black, and the other to whatever color remains. the trick is to get the dimmer filament, not the brighter filament so you don't burn out the lens. take a picture of what you have and i can draw out what you need to do!
