Anyone done Hi Beam HID's yet ?
I really love the look of the blue HID over yellow foggy's.....although you'll really couldn't use them often, it would be great to have Hi-Beam HID !:D :D

It wouldnt work that great. They dont make a 9005 rebased HID bulb. Xenon bulbs are not made to flash on and off. So the flash to pass would burn out the bulbs faster.

not that i know of, plus it's not a good idea coz' if you look at the high beam on the GS it doesn't have that regflector type thing in front of the bulb. if it's hid, then the glare would be way too much i think :)

it would defeat the purpose of having a high beam. it would take too long to warm up to flash people.

Originally posted by squarehat That's why European cars with bi-Xenon still retain a halogen bulb for flashing and DRL. ;) |
FYI. Just tried doing a quick flash in the day time and notice that both the high beam and HID would light up. Not only the high beam.
